2. ‘Yoga for Chronic Pain’ is today from 1:15 pm EST – 2:15 pm at The Mindfulness Center in Bethesda, MD.

Everyone is welcome – hypermobile or not! Join us if you can!

A few weeks ago, I put together a somewhat different gentle yoga practice sequence and I loved it. I’ve only been able to teach once and I’m excited to teach it again today. Fingers crossed technology and life work well together today and I’m able to record & upload the class on the Strength/Flexibility/Health/EDS YouTube Channel.

A few additional, but related announcements and reminders:

1. EDS Metro DC Support Group is holding their quarterly meeting the first weekend of December – Saturday, December 2nd, 2017 from 1:30pm-4pm (see flyer below for more information).

Dr. Gerwin, a beloved Physiotherapist in the DC area will be the guest speaker at the December meeting. He also recently retired. Hence, why it’s such an honor to have him speak. I believe the plan is to record his presentation. I will confirm and share with those who may interested.

2. Our next ‘Mind-Body Strategies for Hypermobility with Chronic Pain’ group meeting following the Yoga for Chronic Pain Class is on December 14th, 2017 from 2:15 pm to 3ish or maybe later.

3. Keep an eye out for posts and emails – several events and new projects already planned for 2018. We do have a few things planned for the new year, such as the rescheduled ZubiaLive virtual ‘Practicing Yoga Safely with Hypermobility’ workshop, held yesterday, but abruptly ended 6mins into our broadcast. So, we are trying again soon – and after we determine what happened and why.

Event dates and details will be shared soon. However, there are still no plans for our discussions about holding a Wellapalooza 2018. We are excited to explore different avenues to help our community and tackle new projects. And …. we are more than thrilled about launching our reorganized site, and about developing additional educational content and materials for EDS Wellness’ new e-learning platform. The EDS Wellness Swag Store will officially “open” for business very soon and will offer useful tools for self-care, fun bling, books, printed educational materials and more. We’ve also been able to focus on finalizing neglected and long-term projects and explore ideas and options for a few of our larger and more long-term projects.

Most importantly, we are so excited about building a robust, easy to navigate integrative system (including our website, virtual resources, programs, services and more) that provides reliable access to EDS Wellness’ current and established resources – and allows us to reach and help as many patients and providers in our broader global community as possible.
